About
Role Summary The Cloud Engineering Fellowship Associate will participate in a structured, project-based learning program designed to build foundational and intermediate cloud computing and DevOps skills. Fellows will work on real-world cloud infrastructure projects, receive mentorship from experienced cloud engineers, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gain practical, hands-on exposure across the full cloud lifecycle — provisioning resources, automating deployments, implementing security, monitoring systems, and optimizing performance. Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Documentation • Complete assigned cloud engineering learning projects involving virtual machine provisioning, serverless functions, container deployments, storage configuration, and networking. • Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate environment setup. • Configure CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows for applications. • Document cloud architectures, resource configurations, deployment steps, and cloud cost usage. Research & Framework Development • Research cloud best practices, DevOps methodologies, security compliance frameworks, and cost-optimization strategies for practical implementation. • Propose improvements to existing cloud architectures, provisioning scripts, automation workflows, and monitoring dashboards. • Document IaC standards, architecture diagrams, cloud security policies, and automation playbooks. Cloud Operations & Performance Monitoring • Monitor cloud environments and services using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana. • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to networking, storage, compute, IAM permissions, or deployment failures. • Analyze logs and alerts to ensure uptime, performance efficiency, and reliability.
